During a radio interview today, MATT LUCAS disclosed that he told Brian May about his weight loss journey.

On BBC Radio 2, Matt Lucas is filling in for Zoe Ball this week, hosting her early morning Breakfast Show. The 47-year-old met with Queen guitarist Brian May earlier today and discussed his weight loss journey.

Brian filmed the meeting for his own social media account, and the comic was joined by the 74-year-old rocker via video chat.

Matt claimed that the two frequently text each other, but never as early as they did today, just before his appearance on air.

When Brian saw Matt on the television, he said, “You look great.”

“You appear to be in good health. My God.” The host answered, “Thank you very much,” before disclosing his recent weight loss.

“Well, I texted…Brian and I both text each other. Isn’t that something we can say? ” he went on to say.

The musician added, “We WhatsApp.”

Matt revealed, “I told Dr Brian it was time for me to shed some weight, so I’m on that route.”

He went on to claim that because they are both night owls, they would generally communicate to each other later in the day.

During an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine earlier this year, Matt said it was time to lose weight and get exercise after gaining weight due to lockdown.

“I lost some weight, which was necessary because I had gained a lot of weight while in lockdown.

He admitted to the host, “I’ve still got a little of a tum.”

The Queen star has decided to document his day in a live video for his followers, which he has dubbed BRI-TV.

He spoke with Matt and then did an interview with Karl Stafanovic for Australian television during a hectic day.

Following that, he made an appearance on Lorraine Kelly’s ITV breakfast show.

During his visit on the show, he informed stand-in host Christine Lampard about the event that takes place on the same day as his. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
