Martina Navratilova slams Novak Djokovic, saying she “can’t defend his choice.”

‘FUBAR!’ Martina Navratilova screams at Novak Djokovic, who she says “can’t defend his choice.”

MARTINA NAVRATILOVA has slammed fellow tennis player Novak Djokovic after hearing that he was arrested in Australia.

Tennis player Novak Djokovic won his visa appeal to stay in Australia, but he may still be deported after being detained again by authorities.

Martina Navratilova gave ITV viewers more insight into the case on Monday, appearing on Good Morning Britain and criticizing the sportsman’s decision not to be vaccinated.

During an ITV interview on Monday, the Grand Slam winner claimed that the situation had progressed from a “snafu” to a “FUBAR.”

“It’s really beyond belief,” she said.

“Wow, what a story.

“All of this could have been avoided.”

Many people made mistakes and took things for granted.

“I only wish Novak had gotten that vaccination in the first place.”

Novak was held for three days in an immigration hotel after claiming he was exempt from Covid vaccination after testing positive.

Novak’s father has allegedly been re-arrested, according to a Serbian journalist in contact with him, though this has yet to be independently confirmed.

On Monday’s show, Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid discussed the reports, and Martina Navratilova, another tennis star, reacted angrily.

She expressed her displeasure with Novak for refusing to take the vaccine, implying that he didn’t have a good reason.

Martina was unable to defend her decision, despite her admiration for the tennis player.

“He’s a great leader, and he’s obviously an incredible athlete,” she continued.

“I admire him greatly and have defended him numerous times, but I cannot defend his decision not to be vaccinated.”

Martina acknowledged that there could be valid reasons to be skeptical of the jab, but she criticized Novak’s refusal as a poor example given the impact on the Australian Open.

“If you don’t want the vaccine because you don’t know, or you don’t believe it,” she explained.

“As I previously stated, you must still take one for the team.

If you want to be a leader, you must lead by example, and that example must be for the greater good.

“It could have all been avoided, but here we are… and it’s only getting crazier by the minute.”

Richard, the GMB host, pressed Martina on Novak’s broader responsibilities as a prominent sports figure.

Novak had failed to establish an, Martina agreed.
