Mark Labbett: Darragh Ennis’ co-star Mark Labbett tells him not to get in the way at the NTAs.

MARK LABBETT has delivered a stern warning to Darragh Ennis, his co-star, ahead of the 2021 National Television Awards.

Mark Labbett, best known for his role as The Beast on The Chase, turned to Twitter to provide some advice to Darragh Ennis, 40, a recent ITV rookie, ahead of his imminent debut at the National Television Awards (NTA) 2021. It follows on the heels of the quizmasters spin-off show Beat The Chasers receiving a nomination for Best Quiz Show.

Mark, Darragh, Anne Hegerty, Shaun Wallace, Paul Sinha, and Jenny Ryan, among others, will compete against Celebrity Catch, In For A Penny, and Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel.

The 56-year-old has subsequently given his co-star some advice ahead of his appearance at tonight’s ceremony.

It comes after Darragh used the microblogging site to urge fans to watch the upcoming episodes of Beat The Chasers.

The ITV quizzer wrote: “Who can beat all six of us?” in response to his 19,100 followers. On Saturday at 8.30 p.m., @ITV will premiere a new #BeatTheChasers.”

Mark used the chance to respond to a tweet from a coworker, urging him not to get in the way of the stage microphone.

In light of his 141,000 followers, he tweeted, “Enjoy your first #NTAwards and don’t get between our producer and the mic if we win.”

“What chance do I have if you can’t stop them?” Darragh sarcastically answered.

“Find the Potato Sky Box,” Mark added. The wine will be flowing if we win.”

Later, the Chase favorite turned to Twitter to announce that he will not be attending the event tonight.

He sarcastically accused his co-star and friend Anne of having a negative influence.

“I’m sorry, but I won’t be able to attend the NTAs tonight. Mark commented, “I’m spending a peaceful night in because my liver can’t handle drinking at @anne hegerty’s rate.”

With a laughing emoji, Anne answered.

After uploading a little video, Mark stated that the ITV favorite had his complete support.

“My impartial opinion on the best presenter award for tonight’s #NTAwards,” he wrote in the description.

“Yes, for tonight’s NTAs… go Bradley!” Mark stated in the video.
