Mark Harmon will appear in how many episodes of NCIS season 19?
Agent Gibbs will take a secondary role in the upcoming 19th season of NCIS, according to fans. But how many episodes is he going to be in?
Since the show’s inception in 2003, Agent Gibbs (played by Mark Harmon) has been the series’ central role. Prior to the premiere of Season 19, it was revealed that Harmon would only appear in a few episodes, allowing other characters to take the lead. But how many episodes of Harmon’s CBS show will he appear in?
Despite speculation that Mark Harmon will leave his post at the end of Season 18, he will return for Season 19.
The cast, on the other hand, is undergoing a huge transformation this season, with new additions, exits, and reports that Harmon will be diminishing his role on the program.
Harmon would only appear in a few episodes and would be relinquishing his leadership responsibilities, according to reports from June.
Long-time fans of the show were startled to learn the news, as Harmon is one of only two original cast members left, the other being Ducky, played by David McCallum.
Similarly, following season 16, McCallum’s role in the program was curtailed, and he now only makes brief and restricted appearances.
Harmon will return in an undetermined number of episodes, according to CBS President Kelly Kahl, who told Deadline: “We take it year by year with Mark.”
“We’d love to have him for as long as he wants to be here,” she continued, “even if he was light in a handful of [episodes]this season, so we’re delighted to work around his schedule.”
With McCallum now only appearing in roughly 10 episodes per season and the program having a full order of 24 episodes, this could be a suitable place for Gibbs to start if he takes a smaller role.
However, due to issues arising from the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Season 18 only received 16 episodes.
Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham) is one of the series’ final characters, having exited after the season 18 finale.
Both her departure and Harmon’s diminished involvement will create a void in Season 19, but the program has made some cast changes to make up for it.
Gary Cole and Katrina Law are also members of the group. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
