Chip and Joanna Gaines are getting ready for the holidays! In December, the Fixer Upper cast will premiere two Magnolia holiday specials as part of Discovery(plusexclusive )’s seasonal lineup. For those with a sweet craving as the holidays approach, Joanna’s Magnolia Table with Joanna Gaines episode “Holiday Candy” premieres Dec. 3 on the streaming service, in which the HGTV star shares one of her favorite holiday traditions: baking candy to give as gifts to friends and family.
Then, on Friday, Dec. 10, viewers may tune in to the Season 2 debut of Family Dinner, in which host Andrew Zimmern travels families throughout America to learn how our cultural, geographical, and historical identities influence what and how we eat. These new Magnolia titles will be among the many on the discovery(plus) Holiday Central hub, which will also include scripted content such as Candy Coated Christmas with Ree Drummond, true-crime documentary Fruitcake Fraud, which will premiere on December 1, and The Pioneer Woman’s Hometown: Holiday Themes, which will premiere on December 11. A Very Ice Cream Christmas, Christmas Sleepover, and Christmas Magic at the Mercantile, written by the Pioneer Woman herself, commemorate Drummond’s little town of Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
The streamer is also introducing a new set of holiday-themed immersions, including Discovery’s “unique interpretation of the Christmas yule log,” which will premiere on November 26. Surfing Santa, a “journey to a surfer’s paradise” with none other than Santa Claus himself for those who like to celebrate the season on the beach; Cozy Kitchen Holiday, bringing viewers into the kitchen with four chefs from around the world to experience the festivity through food; and Festive Fireplaces of the World, which takes viewers to the farthest corners of the earth to experience the unique warmth and comfort of sitting by a fireplace; and Festive Kitchen Holiday, bringing viewers into the kitchen with four chefs
