Lorraine Kelly wishes an ITV colleague farewell as they depart GMB, exclaiming, “Good Luck!”

Following her departure from Good Morning Britain last week, LORRAINE KELLY wished her ITV colleague Katy Rickitt good luck on her first day of her new position.

Lorraine Kelly used social media yesterday to congratulate an ITV colleague on her new presenting job. The 61-year-old TV personality, who is taking a vacation from her self-titled morning program, wished former Good Morning Britain contributor Katy Rickitt success in her new position.

Katy Rickitt, the presenter wife of ex-Coronation Street star Adam Rickitt, will be the face of ITV Calendar’s news coverage for Yorkshire and Lincolnshire for the next six months.

She has been a regular on GMB for many years and has worked for the television channel since 2008.

Katy’s first official day at the ITV Calendar studio was yesterday.

To commemorate the occasion, the news reporter shared a video on Twitter.

Katy tweeted ahead of her time on the radio, “The day has arrived!”

“And for the first time in my life, I truly made a decision!”

She signed off with, “Off to go and be prepped on the news of the day!!” before revealing that she’d already chosen her dress for her debut in an accompanying video.

Lorraine commented, “Good luck @KatyRickittITV – you will of course be fantastic xxxx,” as she shared the tweet with her 652,000 followers.

The ITV star thanked her coworkers and fans for their support ahead of her debut in the video.

“Before I begin, I’d like to express my gratitude to everyone for their kind words over the weekend.

“It’ll be my first day on Calendar, so I’m extremely excited,” Katy continued.

“I said I was going to post several clothing possibilities, but I lied since I already knew what I wanted to wear, which is a miracle for me because I can never make up my mind about anything.

“I’m really looking forward to that. So good luck to me, and I’ll see you all at 6 p.m. on the calendar,” the host continued.

When Katy announced her departure from the show, she stated she would miss the GMB crew but not the early morning wake-up calls because she had switched from a 6 a.m. shift to a 6 p.m. shift.

She tweeted a picture from the ITV set on microblogging before coming on air last night.

She was spotted with her co-stars. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
