Lacey Chabert Opens Up About Sister Wendy’s Heartbreaking Death: ‘Our Hearts Are Shattered.’

Wendy, Lacey’s older sister, has passed away.

The Mean Girls star, 39, broke the heartbreaking news on Instagram on Tuesday, posting a photo of her late sister alongside a heartfelt message.

Wendy, my lovely sister,” she said first.

“Now that you’re gone, our hearts have been shattered into a million pieces, and I’m not sure how we’ll ever put them back together.”

“We adore and love you more than words can express, and we will continue to do so forever and ever,” she said.

“We are heartbroken as a result of the shocking loss.

“Our lives will never be the same without my dear sister, but we cling to Jesus’ promises that we will be reunited in eternity,” Chabert concluded, asking her fans to keep her family in their “hearts and prayers,” particularly Wendy’s two sons.

Lacey Chabert (@thereallacey) shared a post.

Several of Chabert’s well-known friends and colleagues expressed their admiration in the comments section.

“Lacy (sic), we are praying for you, your family, and Wendy’s family,” Candace Cameron Bure wrote.

“We love you, my sweet sweet friend,” Danica McKeller said, adding, “Oh my goodness, Lacey.”

I adore you and send you my best wishes and prayers.

I’m not sure what I can do, but please contact me if you need anything.”

The actress from A Wish for Christmas paid tribute to Wendy and her other older sister, Crissy, on National Sisters Day in August.

She captioned a sweet throwback photo with, “Couldn’t let (hashtag)nationalsistersday pass without saying how much I love my two sisters.”

“They’re the best big sisters I’ve ever had, and I thank God every day for them.”
