‘Keep it in,’ James May rages at Prince Harry and Meghan: ‘Everyone’s had difficulties like that.’
JAMES MAY has slammed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for discussing their personal lives in public, calling their behavior “disgusting.”
As he promoted The Grand Tour’s new Lochdown episode, in which he, Jeremy Clarkson, and Richard Hammond tour Scotland, James May offered his opinions. There are references to the royals in the special episodes, such as Prince Andrew’s Newsnight appearance and the scandal surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
“I’d forgotten all the Prince Andrew jokes,” he remarked of the mentions. They were a little forced.”
The vehicle enthusiast went on to say that he didn’t “take much interest in the Royal Family,” but that he had heard about Prince Harry and Meghan’s problems at the Palace.
He told this week’s Radio Times Magazine, “The Meghan and Harry narrative sounded a little bit unpleasant.”
When it came to the couple discussing their personal life in public, James felt they should have done so behind closed doors.
Carol Vorderman, 60, had a bra malfunction while performing with Beat The Chasers.
He continued, “I don’t think the rest of us should know or care about it,” adding that the Royal Family was supposed to be a “exemplar.”
The 58-year-old added that the royals “should know better.”
James looked to be referring to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent appearance with Oprah Winfrey.
The Duchess of Sussex, speaking for the first time, revealed she felt suicidal during her time at the Palace and feared being left alone.
She and Prince Harry also claimed that their baby Archie’s skin color was a source of concern.
The following day, Buckingham Palace issued a statement on behalf of the Queen, saying, “The problems presented, notably the subject of race, are troubling.”
“While some recollections may differ, they are treated seriously and will be discussed confidentially by the family.
“Harry, Meghan, and Archie will always be cherished members of the family.”

Jeremy, James’ co-star, has also spoken out about the pair’s shocking interview.
