Katie McGlynn to leave Strictly 2021 after viewers see ‘tension’ with Gorka?
After noticing “tension” between Katie McGlynn and Gorka Marquez, fans of STRICTLY COME DANCING believe she could be the next participant to be removed.
On Sunday night, Strictly Come Dancing viewers saw the first couple exit the competition in a dramatic results show. Along with Nina Wadia and Neil Jones, Katie McGlynn and Gorka Marquez were in the dance-off. The couples received the lowest scores of all the entrants and were forced to dance again in order to keep their spot in the BBC dance competition. While Katie made it through the dance-off this week, fans predict she’ll be the next to depart.
On Saturday night, Katie and Gorka danced a Jive to Olivia Rodrigo’s Good 4 U, although some spectators saw some tension between the two.
After seeing them perform, several Strictly fans turned to Twitter to criticize their lack of chemistry.
“Gorka was irritated, and Katie was scarcely clapping.” @corinisamazing wrote, “I felt they seemed a little odd with each other last week, but this week it was pretty clear.”
“Gorka and Katie DO NOT like each other #Strictly,” tweeted @sashaholly_.
“Her and Gorka appear like they can’t tolerate each other, and I don’t think they’ll be on the show for long,” says one fan. @Erinbur27654454 made a comment.
“Ok. I’m going to come out and say it… On #strictly, there appears to be an odd atmosphere between Katie McGlynn and Gorka. Not a’sexy’ feel, but a niggle or discomfort… It was picked up on last week, and it was there again tonight. Isn’t it strange?” said @Angeloola76
“How incredibly nasty can @KatiexMcGlynn be to the lovely @gorkamarquez1, get yourself some manners @KatiexMcGlynn and work WITH your partner,” @AmiDingle added. #appallingbehaviour,#dive,#sourface.” On Sunday night, they were pitted against Nina and Neil in the bottom two.
As a result, they had to rehearse their Jive in order to wow the judges and keep their spot in the competition.
The judges revealed their final findings after watching the couples dance once more.
“Katie, you really kept the enthusiasm up all the way through to the finish with lots of retraction,” Craig Revel Horwood said of Katie and Gorka, who were saved.
Motsi Mabuse was the next to speak up, and she voted to save Katie and Gorka from being eliminated.
The situation changed when Anton Du Beke opted to save Nina and Neil, remarking, “The one who. “Brinkwire Summary News.”
