Kate’s top priority is continuing to share the burden of royal duties with Prince William.

THE DUCHESS OF Cambridge, who turns 40 on Sunday, has won praise and affection for her quiet good works.

But sharing the burden of royal duty with her husband remains her top priority.

The Duchess of Cambridge addressed an open letter to Britain’s midwives in December 2019.

She lauded their life-changing work, as well as the warmth and humanity with which they pursue their vocations. She also praised their selflessness.

She wrote, “You don’t ask for praise or recognition; instead, you keep doing amazing work without fail.”

As her 40th birthday approaches on Sunday, it’s possible to draw a similar conclusion about the Duchess’s approach to her own work, the public engagements in which, like her grandmother-in-law the Queen, she goes about the tasks she has set herself with commitment, sincerity, and warmth.

More than a decade after marrying Prince William in 2011, Kate Middleton has gained widespread respect and affection, with commentators increasingly hailing her as her husband’s and the Royal Family’s secret weapon.

She balances public appearances with as hands-on parenting as she can manage as a mother of three.

She brings thoughtfulness, politeness, and a dash of glitz to the events she attends, as evidenced by her appearance at the autumn premiere of the Bond film No Time To Die.

Catherine has taken her time in determining her public persona.

She has emerged as a key royal player over the course of the pandemic, steadfast in her support of her chosen causes as well as those of her husband, Prince William. She was previously chastised in some quarters for a workload considered too light, but has emerged as a key royal player over the course of the pandemic, steadfast in her support of her chosen causes as well as those of her husband, Prince William.

Despite the fact that the Royal Family’s work was restricted last year, the Duchess still managed 119 engagements, a figure that is expected to rise significantly in the coming years.

Most importantly, the Duchess has been a staunch supporter of her husband.

William and Catherine have always worked as a team, perhaps because of the competitiveness that plagued his parents’ marriage.

Their close and loving partnership shapes every aspect of their lives. Duke and Duchess, husband and wife, mother and father:

They share their kids’ school runs whenever possible.

Similarly, their main charitable focus, The Royal Foundation, is a collaborative effort.

Obviously, it’s the Cambridges.
