Kate Middleton and Prince William have a parenting approach that is “unheard of” in the Royal Family.
KATE MIDDLETON and Prince William have three children together. Prince George, their eldest son, turned eight years old last week. What kind of parenting style do they have?
Prince William and Kate Middleton married in 2011 and welcomed their first child two years later. They “broke the norms” of royal upbringing, according to a parenting specialist.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are the children of Kate and William.
During several royal visits and events, the royal children have been seen in public.
Prince George most recently joined his parents to watch two Euro 2020 games.
Some royal parenting customs have been observed by members of the Royal Family.
Some of these have been followed by Kate and Prince William, such as attending official picture calls and hiring a nanny.
Mohammed Patel, general director of Kiddies Kingdom and a parenting specialist, revealed how the Duke and Duchess had handled some situations differently.
“It would have been unheard of for a royal parent to kneel down to their child at a public engagement in the past, but showing this kind of affection to her three children has become the norm for Kate,” he said. He also suggested the royals have used some parenting techniques not seen by many royals before.
Kate spends a lot of time with her kids, showing affection and going down to eye level.
According to the expert, doing so could be considered “breaking the norm” in her family.
“When one of her children is anxious or unhappy in public, her calm and relaxed demeanor is evident since she only needs to crouch by their side to soothe them,” he said.
“As her children grow older, Kate is likely to approach them as equals rather than a figure to be feared.
“This is a less-traditional parenting technique that would not have been utilized by previous royals, highlighting how Kate is breaking the mold and ushering in a new breed of royalty.” Kate’s “unique” parenting style could be emulated by future royals.
Mohammad claimed that the Duchess prioritizes providing her children with a “normal” upbringing.
“Kate’s modern way of parenting is unique,” he remarked.
“She tries to instill in her children the value of ‘regular living.’
“Despite plainly coming from a rich family, [Kate] refrains from overindulging in them.
“She is.” According to the Brinkwire Summary News.
