Katarina is revealed to be Red as a result of a fan’s tip.

The Blacklist: Katarina is revealed to be Red after a fan spots a clue.

After a viewer spotted a major clue, THE BLACKLIST fans are increasingly convinced Katarina will be revealed as Red.

Since the first episode of The Blacklist aired on NBC in 2013, fans have been trying to figure out who Raymond ‘Red’ Reddington (played by James Spader) is.

Fans believe Katarina Rostova (Lotte Verbeek) is Red after three episodes of season nine.

When it came to Red’s identity, TheShawnRod revealed on Reddit that they had “fallen between two possibilities.”

“The first is the obvious,” the fan wrote, “The Blacklist heavily hinted in the finale that Red was Katarina; however, in true Blacklist fashion, the obvious is too easy.”

“They’ve led us to believe Red is Katarina,” the user continued, “but we’ll be shocked to learn the truth.”

“The difficult thing for me to believe that Red is not Katarina is the constant evidence over seasons i.e. the Red to Kirk whisper ‘I am Katerina,'” the fan explained, while admitting it could be another “Blacklist curveball.”

“As much as I wish Red wasn’t Katarina,” the user concluded, “it’s becoming increasingly difficult to believe otherwise.”

Fans have been waiting eight years to learn Red’s true identity.

Red was a wanted fugitive in season one, and he made his first appearance mysteriously as he surrendered and offered to assist the FBI in capturing deadly criminals.

He did, however, have one condition: he would only speak if he could work with rookie Liz Keen (Megan Boone), which perplexed her because the two had never met.

Despite their initial strangeness, the two got to work and grew to be very close friends as the series progressed.

In season eight, viewers got a better understanding of Liz’s upbringing, which made fans even more suspicious of Red’s true identity.

Throughout the series, flashback scenes from her memories, which frequently featured a fire, gave fans a glimpse into her traumatic childhood.

When it was revealed that Liz had shot and killed her father, the original Raymond Reddington, after a fight with her mother Katarina, who had arrived to pick her up, Season eight put the puzzle pieces together.

Liz was forced to spend the rest of her childhood with her adopted mother after Liz and Katarina ran away.
