Jodie Kidd revealed James Martin’s ‘new addition’ in a candid Instagram post titled ‘Just splendid!’
JAMES MARTIN’S new “addition” was revealed on social media today by friend Jodie Kidd.
For the latest episode of Kidd in a Sweet Shop, James Martin, 49, joined British model Jodie Kidd, 43.
The host of Saturday Morning spent the day filming an online series for the racing driver’s YouTube channel.
The ITV chef, who is known for his delectable recipes, is also a classic car enthusiast.
James has recently added to his reported 15-strong collection, indicating that he is not slowing down.
Jodie posted a series of photos to the official Kidd in a Sweet Shop Instagram account ahead of the new episode.
“As part of Monday’s episode, @jamesmartinchef takes me out in his latest addition, the very first works (hashtag)FordEscort raced by Roger Clark in period!” she tweeted to her 12,600 followers.
“As I and James get our first taste of the car, we delve into the origins of his passion for automobiles and his fascinating television journey.”
The two were photographed together inside late British rally driver Roger Clark’s Ford Escort racing car, which James has acquired.
As she shared more photos from James’ garage, Jodie admitted to being blown away by the chef’s impressive vehicles.
“My first video of 2022, featuring the lovely @jamesmartinchef and his impressive collection of cars, will go live on the channel on Monday!” she wrote.
A third post featured a photo of the couple laughing while Jodie gushed over James’ vintage cars.
“Loved spending the day with @jamesmartinchef, such a character and his garage is just splendid!” the model wrote.
She accompanied the post with a series of photos, including one of a Ferrari and another of a Subaru, that showed some of the cars that were covered.
“Pretty cool collection lurking under those car covers,” wrote The Speed Machine in a comment on the post.
