Jennifer Garner created this “All-Time Favorite” Ina Garten recipe for the birthday of Barefoot Contessa

On her birthday in 2019, Jennifer Garner found the best way to honour her idol Ina Garten – the actress cooked one of her “all-time favorite” Barefoot Contessa recipes.

Find out what Garner cooked in the recipe that Garner totally forgot to add and what odd ingredients Garten used.

A favorite Barefoot Contessa recipe was prepared by Jennifer Garner.

Garner opened one of the Barefoot Contessa cookbooks in honour of Garten’s birthday (and the Super Bowl), only to find a curious note on Garten’s chicken chili page: a list of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and Grape Nuts cereal. Just imagine.

“This is one of my all-time favorite recipes,” Garner said of the special chili recipe by Barefoot Contessa, which uses chicken instead of beef.

“an obscene amount of onions,”an obscene quantity of onions,”Now it smells like chili!”Now it smells like chili!

She also noticed that to carry the chili ingredients, she required a larger vessel. “I hope this pot can hold it all,” she said, adding, “Are you wondering the same thing?”

Garner realized she wanted a bigger pot after chopping the tomatoes and adding them to the pot. “She said, “No, is the answer in the game of ‘Can this fit in this pot?’ No, I admit defeat. I lost that game.” She poured it into a larger pot and then added the pieces of chicken.

‘Ina, this is so sweet,’ said Garner as she gave it a taste. “Happy birthday. Happy Super Bowl.”

Garner neglected to add an unusual ingredient from Ina Garten.

When Ina Garten showed her cooking show Barefoot Contessa how to make the chicken chili recipe, she shared why she uses an unpredictable ingredient. Garten does not like cilantro, so she replaces it with basil.

“Most chilies have cilantro in them, but I personally hate cilantro, so I put basil in instead. It gives it a great flavor,” she explained on her show.

Garten was asked during a 2017 interview with Munchies: The Podcast, “Is there anything you absolutely hate that will never be found in one of your cookbooks?”

“Cilantro. I hate it!”Cilantro. I hate it!

She said, “I know people love it, you can add it to the recipe,” “I hate it, just.

It’s so powerful to me — and it tastes like soap to me, really — but it’s so powerful that it overpowers every other flavor.

“I forgot.”I forgot.
