Jenna Bush Hager is surprised by a rock icon for her 40th birthday on the ‘Today’ Show.
Jenna Bush Hager of the Today Show got a big birthday present from Bono this week. On their trip through Central Park, the U2 leader surprised the TV show presenter with a surprise performance by the Susan E. Wagner High School band.
Bono abruptly changed their plans as they went past the Tavern on the Green restaurant. “Can you fetch a pint for us?” He apologized for the change of plans.
“Wait, what is going on here?” Hager questioned, clearly taken aback by the interview’s unexpected direction.
Bono replied, “Some purposeful music,” before adding, “Happy Birthday, sweetie.” Hager’s jaw fell when she observed the tableau in front of her, which included music, balloons, and a rock legend. “Stop!” Hager exclaimed. “Are you fooling me?” says the narrator. You’ve got to be kidding me, right? Thank you very much! “I’m having a nervous breakdown.” She later reflected on the day on Instagram, expressing how precious the surprise was to her. “I had a dream…it was a lovely day.” Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. “Bono, I [heart]you,” she captioned the photo.

Hager revealed on her Making Space podcast with her co-host Hoda Kotb that her 40th birthday is also a significant milestone for her father, former US President George W. Bush. “He stopped drinking the day after his 40th birthday,” Hager claimed, adding that she was only 5 years old at the time he made the decision and has no recollection of his drinking. “It’s fascinating to me since a lot of his recollections about us and our family start around the age of 40.” At 40, I believe he had a new lease on life after realizing he couldn’t drink. So that bothers me because that decision dad made was such a crucial part of our family.” She goes on to claim that the revelation has made her think about her drinking habits in the future, but that she has no intentions to stop anytime soon –– and that she doesn’t believe she needs to.
Her parents also surprised her with a special Happy Birthday message on the Today Show. “On this day 40 years ago, your father and I were overjoyed to welcome two baby girls into the world. Since then, you and Barbara have made us happy every day. We’re so proud of you,… Summary of Entertainment News from Brinkwire.
