Jeff LaBar, the Cinderella guitarist, died unexpectedly at the age of 58, prompting his distraught son to come out.

JEFF LABAR, a member of the metal band Cinderella, was discovered dead in his Nashville apartment.

Jeff LaBar, 58, was found by his ex-girlfriend Gaile LaBar-Bernhardt, with whom he has a son Sebastian. Gaile had gone to check on the musician after not hearing from him for a few days and becoming anxious. The reason of death has not yet been revealed.

Their son confirmed the news on Instagram, writing: “So I just received the call… My father, my hero, and my idol, @jefflabar, died today.

“I’m at a lost for words right now. Pop, I adore you!”

“Heavy hearts cannot begin to explain the grief of losing our brother Jeff,” stated Jeff’s bandmates Tom Keifer, Eric Brittingham, and Fred Coury in a statement.

“As a band, we have a special bond that has developed over decades of making music and touring the world. Those memories of Jeff will live on in our hearts forever.

Jeff joined the band in 1985 as a substitute for guitarist Michael Shermick.
