Janette Manrara’s Strictly retirement has only just ‘struck her’ as the 2021 stars are announced.

Following her retirement from the dancefloor earlier this year, JANETTE MANRARA has described the revelation of the celebrity candidates for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing program as “bittersweet.”

Janette Manrara, 37, has resorted to Instagram to say that her departure from the popular BBC dance show has just recently “struck her,” following the announcement of the first few celebs for the 19th series yesterday. The diva, who is married to Strictly pro Aljaz Skorjanec, announced her resignation from the show earlier this year, but she confirmed that she won’t be leaving the show for long, as she’ll be joining Rylan Clark-Neal as host of spin-off It Takes Two.

It’s bittersweet because it kind of hit me today, like, oh my god Janette Manrara As news of the celebrity Strictly contestants became public, Janette moved to Instagram to congratulate the dancers.

The dance pro penned a passionate welcome to each of Tom Fletcher, Robert Webb, and AJ Odudu on her stories as they were announced on The One Show.

However, after flaunting a stunning make-up look, the actress admitted to her 441,000 Twitter followers that the reality of her departure from the show had just “struck her.”

“What I was really going to say is that the first three celebs for the new series have been announced!” she remarked.

Janette continued, “It’s bittersweet because it kind of hit me today, like, oh gosh.” Despite her new role, she won’t feel like she’ll be part of the Strictly “gang” like she did in prior years.

“I’m going to meet them because I’ll be meeting them on It Takes Two,” she revealed, “but I’m not going to be a member of the full gang in the same way.”

“But I’m so excited for Tom and AJ and Robert and more to come soon,” she said, before adding that her nearly decade-long time on the BBC show was some of the “best” years of her life.

“Honestly, that was the best eight years of my life,” Janette remarked.

“There are going to be a lot more new memories, but seeing the celebrities get announced, the first few of which are coming out today, is one of them.

“I’m envious of those of you who are joining the squad, joining the famous. Enjoy! “Before signing off, she added.
