Janette Manrara cuts off John Whaite after a shot at the Strictly routine: ‘We’re going on!’

Janette Manara abruptly shut off JOHN WHAITE after he made a surprising admission regarding his regimen.

Bake Off star John Whaite and his professional partner Johannes Radebe appeared on the spin-off series It Takes Two after making it to week 10 of Strictly Come Dancing. After the participant revealed his actual feelings regarding musical week, host Janette Manara was taken aback and had to cut him off in order to move on to the next question.

On Wednesday’s episode of It Takes Two, John and Johannes were the latest duo to join host Janette Manara.

They provided viewers an inside look at how they prepared for their rehearsals and performance during the interview.

For musical week, John was one of eight celebrities who took to the dancefloor in an attempt to impress the judges and win Strictly’s glittering glitterball trophy.

John and Johannes received a total of 32 points for their performance of the Viennese Waltz to Mary Poppins’ Chim Chim Cher-ee.

“I think we did well,” John said of their performance, “since Jo was injured earlier in the week and we had fewer hours, we only had about a day and a half to master our choreo last week.”

“But I think we did a really excellent job of it,” he continued, “and I get what the judges meant about me not exactly giving it the character since I was so preoccupied with the steps last week.”

“Especially if you had such little time to rehearse, you’ve got to put your thinking cap on,” Janette remarked.

Judges were displeased with John’s rendition of the Viennese Waltz after the performance and gave him mixed remarks.

Shirley Ballas saw he was at ease while leading the routine and pointed out several faults in his footwork.

Anton Du Beke, a dancer turned judge, thought the performance was “too safe” for the partnership, comparing it to their previous Paso Doble, which he claimed dominated the show.

Their final score of 32 was actually their lowest on the leaderboard, with each judge giving them an eight.

After confirming that a lack of preparation time played a detrimental influence, John made a surprising confession that left Janette speechless.

Despite performing to a song from the production, he admitted, “I’m not a fan of Mary, I don’t like Mary Poppins.”

Janette, who was surprised and in astonishment, cut him off before he could explain why. “Brinkwire News Summary.”
