‘I’ve lost the plot’ Star Trek legend Marina Sirtis condemns The Crown for ‘pandering’ to the American public.

In an exclusive interview with This website, STAR TREK veteran Marina Sirtis lambasted Netflix’s The Crown for “pandering” to an American audience.

Marina Sirtis, best known for her famous role as Deanna Troi in Star Trek: The Next Generation, confessed that the fourth season of The Crown did not excite her. The historical drama revolves around Queen Elizabeth II’s reign and the events that affected the latter half of the twentieth century.

Americans are “obsessed” with the royals, according to the 66-year-old, who recently returned to the UK after three decades in the US.

According to the Star Trek actress, the fixation caused the plot of the previous series to be too centered on the late Princess of Wales Diana.

The blockbuster Netflix series starred Emma Corrin as a teenage Diana and chronicled the early years of her tumultuous romance with Prince Charles.

“I think they lost the storyline in the last season,” Marina observed of the show.

“All of Princess Di’s antics. It’s far too much. There’s a lot of pandering to the American market.”

“I’m older than Princess Di would have been if she had lived,” she continued. I recall everything, even her encounter with [Charles].”

The actor recounted the couple’s 1981 wedding and said that Americans were more delighted than Britons.

Marina giggled, “I traveled to New York that year because my brother was a university student there and it was all everybody wanted to speak about.”

“They were more thrilled than the Brits about the wedding.”

“They’re obsessed,” she added.

Deanna Troi, who is also a self-professed royalist, expressed her displeasure with the Queen’s portrayal in the series.

Marina remarked, “I think the Queen is great.” “In 70 years, she hasn’t put a foot wrong.”

In these trying circumstances, Amanda Owen says her family is “fed up and contentious.”

“She’s elegant, and she appears to be extremely kind,” the actress concluded.

“She has a bl**dy difficult job. She is incapable of having an opinion, which is why I disliked The Crown’s last season.”

Claire Foy won Golden Globes and Emmys for her performance as Her Majesty in the first two seasons.

Then came season three of The Crown, which included a new cast, including Olivia. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
