‘It wasn’t a loss of confidence!’ After receiving harsh criticism, Dan Walker defends the Strictly routine.

DAN WALKER has spoken out about the backlash he experienced after his weekend Strictly Come Dancing blunder.

The Strictly Come Dancing performers returned to the legendary ballroom this weekend for Movie Week, performing a variety of film-themed dances. On Saturday night, Dan Walker and his partner Nadiya Bychkova danced a Foxtrot. The judges, on the other hand, were critical of the duo after Dan made a misstep throughout the routine. On BBC Breakfast, Dan reacted to some of the judges’ comments on the hit BBC dance show.

“Oh my goodness!” exclaimed BBC Breakfast presenter Sally Nugent as she reflected on Dan’s Saturday night performance. You had me shattered.

“Wasn’t it a challenge this weekend?” She enquired of her co-star.

“I did manage to get through!” “You did well,” Dan said, and Sally agreed. Dan admits to making a “little blunder” during his Saturday night routine, but blamed it on exhaustion and a hectic week.

“Last week, I interviewed the prime minister and had a lot on my plate. I’m not sure I’ve ever been so exhausted in my life.

He explained, “I just had a small moment where I had a brain lapse.”

“How much sleep did you get last week?” Sally inquired.

“Over the course of the week, I didn’t manage to get up to 24 hours,” Dan admitted.

He pointed out that his mother didn’t notice his gaffe on the dance floor, but the judges on Strictly couldn’t say the same.

“A few things went wrong, and I saw you look down, and the whole confidence was gone,” Strictly’s Motsi Mabuse remarked of Dan’s performance on Saturday night.

“We live to fight another week, Daniel,” Sally said after watching some footage from Saturday’s episode of Strictly.

“Yeah, I simply made a mistake,” Dan said. “Thank you for referring to me as Daniel!” He went on to respond to Motsi’s remarks, stating, “It wasn’t like a confidence decrease.” “Right come on, get back into it,” I simply thought, and then…” “You were simply tired,” Sally said, interrupting her co-star. “Yes, it’s OK,” Dan agreed. The main thing to remember is that I’ve only recently begun dancing, and you’re bound to make mistakes.

“Thank you so much to everyone who has given us another week. We’re doing MC Hammer’s You Can’t Touch This this week,” he says. “Brinkwire News Summary.”
