Is Agent Gibbs going to leave NCIS? The boss finally speaks up about the rumors of his departure.

At the end of season 18, the status of NCIS favorite Agent Gibbs was unknown, but is the famous character truly leaving the show? This webpage has all of the information you require.

Since its debut on CBS in 2003, Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (played by Mark Harmon) has appeared in every season of NCIS. The popular character has also appeared in multiple successful spin-offs of the show, including NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: New Orleans. However, after the events of the season 18 finale, executive producer Steven D Binder has announced if Mark Harmon’s alter-ego will be leaving the show. Will Agent Gibbs say his final goodbyes to his coworkers after nearly two decades?

Gibbs was suspended near the end of season 18 after becoming involved in a case involving a man who was killing dogs.

Instead of detaining the criminal, Gibbs brutally assaulted the man, leading to charges being filed against the adored character.

Without a leader, Gibbs was detained, and his crew discovered some incriminating evidence that the criminal was the leader of a dog-fighting ring.

Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) aided in the acquittal of his boss by wearing a prototype body camera that filmed the entire attack.

Director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) stated Gibbs may have his job back if he apologized for his unprofessionalism once the dog-fighting suspect was arrested.

Vance wanted to make sure Gibbs knew the implications of his actions, as he was unwilling to demonstrate sorrow to the man he had beaten up.

Gibbs was suspended indefinitely until he felt ready to apologize to the man he had assaulted, and it appeared that the beloved character would be departing the team for good.

Gibbs was also on a boat that exploded in the last minutes of season 18, leading some to believe he was dead. However, just before the credits rolled, the popular character was spotted swimming away from the scene.

“I truly liked the program when it began, but now with the changes coming steadily throughout the last season up till the finale, isn’t it time to put this to sleep?” one fan wrote on Twitter. I don’t think it’ll be very successful next season, especially without Gibbs.”Brinkwire Summary News”.
