Red gave a warning about Liz’s demise in the dramatic first trailer for The Blacklist Season 9.
The trailer for the upcoming ninth season of THE BLACKLIST has been released, and things are looking tense for Red.
The Blacklist, NBC’s crime drama, will shortly return to the streaming service with a ninth season. Following the breathtaking season finale, a new teaser has been released, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come, including an ominous message for Raymond ‘Red’ Reddington (played by James Spader) The Blacklist’s tense trailer lasts only 15 seconds and provides fans an idea of how James is doing after Liz Keen’s (Megan Boone) death.
A short look indicated James was grieved by her death and clearly in mourning.
He was overheard remarking, “After Elizabeth’s death, there’s nothing.”
It also verified the two-year time jump, which TVLine previously said would leave Red alone once the task group was disbanded.
Viewers were shocked by Liz’s death, which was especially devastating for Red, who had formed a bond with her after working with her since season one.
He intended to make her the criminal empire’s successor before she was shot by a shooter.
Even as Red revealed he was dying, fans watched Liz heal and prepare to take command when she was shot by the first bullet.
Red, on the other hand, was devastated when she was shot and died by another gunman before she could sign any paperwork.
In the trailer, Agent Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) makes a brief appearance and issues a warning.
“What did Liz die for?” he inquired. The Blacklist is a list of people who have been placed on a list of people who have been placed on a list of people who have been placed on It’s up to you to decide whether she died in vain or not “”This trip isn’t over,” Red remarked before adding, “This trip isn’t over.” Agent Park (Laura Sohn) and Harold Cooper (Henry Lennix) are also seen in the trailer, but not as a team, so it’s unclear whether the crew will reconvene.
Despite the fact that Red promptly drew his handgun and assassinated the man who murdered Liz, these warnings could indicate that he is on the lookout for more than just blood.
Other fans appear to agree, and have rushed to Twitter to express their excitement for season nine following the publication of the trailer.
A James Spader fan account tweeted, “A new beginning.” This is the most excited I’ve been in a long time. Season 9 is going to be really fantastic!” On a photo of Red, SpaderWorld remarked, “The new Raymond Reddington.” This season’s “Brinkwire Summary News” is something I’m looking forward to watching.
