In reaction to an embarrassing marriage probe, James Martin exclaims, “I often wonder!”
JAMES MARTIN arrived on the newest episode of The Pet Show with his dog Cooper, but he wasn’t expecting to be grilled about being a husband by the show’s eager presenters.
Dermot O’Leary and Joanna Page, hosts of The Pet Show, met down with the top TV chef last weekend to talk about his life with his trusty canine companion. However, James Martin quickly became the focus of attention, as Joanna revealed she had often pondered what married life with the Saturday Morning star would be like.
The series returned from its hiatus last Sunday for the last installment, revealing an unpleasant encounter that took place when the cameras weren’t filming.
“Before we go any further, during the break, Jo said to James, ‘I have long pondered what it would be like to be married to you, James,'” co-host Dermot added.
Joanna is married to James Thornton, an English actor, while James has been in a long-term relationship with Louise Davies since 2011.
However, as Joanna narrated her confession, the TV chef couldn’t help but smile.
She said, “I’m not lying.” “I’ve given serious consideration to what [it might be like].” As James squirmed slightly before pressing for additional information, Dermot battled to keep his laughter in check.
“Many, or just one?” asked a guest on The Pet Show, his eyes arched.
“Actually, I’d say quite a few!” Dermot put his head in his hand and laughed even more when Joanna responded.
“I wonder what it would be like to be married to him?” she continued.
In order to get to the bottom of Joanna’s daydream, Dermot pressed his co-host with the following question: “In what context?”
“Well, there’s food,” she explained. “Could you please just cook, cook, cook?” James has been cooking on television since 1996, so it would be a legitimate request.
In 2006, he took over as host of Saturday Kitchen, and since 2017, he has hosted Saturday Morning with James Martin on ITV.
As the guest humoured the presenter’s confessional, Dermot looked to the cameras in bewilderment.
“Would you like to give it a go for the weekend?” James cracked a joke.
Joanna screamed, “I would love to!” and the studio erupted in laughter.
“I’d be there in a heartbeat!” “Would you mind if I ate my breakfast in bed?” When Dermot inquired, “Brinkwire News Summary.”
