In ‘Hawkeye,’ does Lila Barton become a superhero like her father?
Hawkeye, Marvel’s newest original series, focuses on Kate Bishop as Hawkeye’s successor, but what about Clint Barton’s daughter, Lila (Ava Russo)? Hawkeye takes place around Christmas 2025, nearly two years after Avengers: Endgame’s earth-shattering events.
Let’s go over what happened to Lila in Avengers: Endgame swiftly. Clint and Lila are shooting arrows in the beginning of the 2019 film, while the rest of the Barton family is setting up a picnic. Clint is ecstatic when Lila shoots a beautiful bullseye. He names his daughter Hawkeye, and then Lila and the rest of Clint’s family vanish into nothingness as a result of Thanos’ snap.
Thankfully, Lila, along with all of the other snap victims, is resurrected later in Avengers: Endgame. Clint sends Lila and his two sons back home to his wife, Laura Barton (Linda Cardellini), after he runs into Kate Bishop and decides he needs his Ronin outfit back as well. Did we mention that Clint, Kate, and the Ronin suit are being pursued by a new gang known as the Tracksuit Mafia? Lila has been largely absent from the series thus far, so it’s unlikely that she’ll adopt the Hawkeye moniker. In Hawkeye, Lila is still a teenager (time did not pass for victims of the snap, therefore Lila is the same age she was in Avengers: Endgame) and does not appear to be interested in taking up the superhero mantle just yet, despite her close relationship with her father. She’s very sharp, and she’s the only one of the Barton kids who notices Clint’s cut before he sends them to the airport.
Lila Barton’s official age has never been revealed, despite the fact that she is clearly a teenager in Avengers: Endgame and Hawkeye. Lila objects to her brother Cooper (Ben Sakamoto) being in control when Clint sends his kids to the airport. He gladly declares… Brinkwire brief description
