In ‘Fortnite,’ where can you find a malfunctioning vending machine?

Fortnite’s third chapter is well underway, and each new patch brings a new set of weekly challenges for players to complete in order to gain more XP.

Purchasing something from one of the map’s malfunctioning vending machines is one of the new weekly challenges for Chapter 3.

Because there is no way to search for them on the map, they can be difficult to locate, but there are a few tricks that can help.

Completing the task and earning the XP will be simple for any player once they discover a malfunctioning vending machine.

Here’s how to find vending machines and what you can buy from them.

To purchase something from one of these vending machines, you must first locate one on a map.

Fortunately, there are plenty of them, and they’re frequently grouped together.

Two are located in the center of Logjam Lumberyard (just above the small lake), two are located in the center of the Shifty Shafts, one is located on the island in the lake at Camp Cuddle, another is located to the east of that lake, and two are located in the center of Greasy Grove.

There are also two in Rocky Reels, two in Chonker’s Speedway, two in Condo Canyon, two in the Sanctuary (though still close to the center of the area), two in the Daily Bugle, and two in the Joneses.

Vendors will appear on the mini map that appears in the upper right corner of your screen while you’re playing.

While you won’t be able to scout them out on the main map ahead of time, keep an eye on the mini map for vending machines.

Unfortunately, not all of the vending machines scattered throughout the map are broken, so you may find one but be unable to complete the weekly challenge.

If this occurs, check any of the other locations on the map, or look for a nearby vending machine (since they appear to be clustered).

If the front of the machine has a large red exclamation point, you’ve found a broken machine.

You’ll be able to finish the game once you find one of those.
