Impact Wrestling Crowns New Knockouts Champion at Bound for Glory 2021.

At the Impact Wrestling Bound for Glory pay-per-view, a new Knockouts Champion was crowned! It’s been a difficult period for the top of Impact Wrestling’s Knockouts card, as Deonna Purazzo has dominated during her reign as champion. All of that changed when Mickie James was released into the cosmos and began her ascension to the top. Purazzo berated James throughout their bout at Bound For Glory, and it all came to a head with their match at Bound For Glory. But, as fans soon discovered, James was far from giving up, and her fight eventually brought some fantastic results.

As the commentary suggested during the match, James may have struggled to keep up with the speedier Purazzo. However, this was not the case, as James’ expertise began to shine through, and he used improved ring awareness to gain the upper hand on the defending champion. After kicking out of Purazzo’s “Queen’s Gambit,” James was able to take advantage of an opening, which resulted to James winning the match and becoming the new Impact Knockouts Champion.
