‘I’m going to miss him,’ says the narrator. Elisabeth Moss, star of The Handmaid’s Tale, says her goodbyes to her co-star.

Season four of THE HANDMAID’S TALE came to an end with Elisabeth Moss bidding farewell to her co-star, and the fifth series is in the works.

June Osborne and her fellow handmaids attacked Commander Fred Waterford (played by Joseph Fiennes) in the woods of Gilead in retaliation for the years of torture he’d perpetrated on them in the closing episode of the previous series. Actress Elisabeth Moss said an emotional goodbye to her co-star Joseph as she looked forward to season five and reflected on the brutal series finale.

“Being there when we shot 10 and being there in the woods when we shot the salvage itself, just like he does everything, he gave 110 % into his dying moments in this passionate exuberant, caring way,” Elisabeth said.

“As anyone who has worked with him knows, he’s always been a really conscientious performer.

“He thinks about every line, yet he accepted it in this way that was really cool and motivating.

“Even the fact that he just ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and run and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and

“In episode 10, he slips and falls as he comes around a corner, and it was him, not a stunt duplicate.

“The woman who plays June behind him is a stunt double! In this show, I’ve done a lot of running.”

“But he was just so motivating and wonderful working with him as an actor and then as a director was just, I’m going to miss him,” Elisabeth concluded.

“However, I believe we are all sending him farewell with love.”

Many fans were relieved to see Fred go, but it appears that some are concerned that his presence will continue to be felt in the upcoming series.

June came home to Canada and baby Nichole after killing the Commander, whom she hugged while still coated in Fred’s blood.

Some people are concerned that this is a hint that Fred is Nichole’s biological father.

Until Serena Joy (Yvonne Strahovski) found out she was pregnant, both June and Fred’s wife felt he couldn’t have children.

Is it possible that Nichole is Fred’s child rather than Nick Blaine’s (Max Minghella)?

On Reddit, one viewer shared their theories: “When I got to the scene where June is spreading the blood on Nichole, I asked why.
