‘I had extreme porn on my phone,’ says disgraced cop who took a selfie at a murder scene.

After a misconduct investigation revealed he took a selfie at the murder scene of 16-year-old Danny Gee-Jamieson in July 2018, Ryan Connolly, a former police officer, could face criminal charges.

Following an anti-corruption investigation, a former police officer who was charged with “extreme pornography” may face a new trial.

Ryan Connolly admitted to having an image that “explicitly and realistically” depicted an “obscene” act in which a person’s life was in danger, as well as pictures of sexual acts performed on animals.

He also took a “selfie” at a murder scene and texted racist and homophobic messages, according to a Merseyside Police misconduct investigation.

According to the Liverpool Echo, he could face criminal charges as a result of the disciplinary investigation.

Connolly resigned from the police force ahead of a misconduct hearing in November, during which it was determined that he would have been fired if he had still been on the force.

The 37-year-old will not be able to work for the police force again.

It has now been revealed that he may face criminal charges in connection with some of the material found in the disciplinary proceedings.

He was charged with three counts of possessing “extremely pornographic” images when he appeared in Manchester Crown Court.

The offenses took place between January and July of 2017.

“As recently as Friday, the police submitted a report to the Crown Prosecution Service, but not a file, asking them to consider the possibility of criminal proceedings arising out of the material that formed the basis of that gross misconduct hearing,” prosecutor Henry Riding said.

The case has been postponed until January 27 by Judge Anthony Cross, QC.

Connolly took a photo of himself lying in a field while he was supposed to be working on a cordon at the scene of Danny Gee-Jamieson’s death in July 2018.

A murder investigation was launched after the 16-year-old was stabbed at Gateacre’s The Nook.

Mandy Jamieson, Mr Gee-Jamieson’s mother, has slammed Connolly for his actions.

“I just feel like Connolly has made a mockery of my son’s death,” she said to the ECHO last month.

It was as if it were all a big joke.”

People detained under the Mental Health Act and being observed in hospitals were also photographed by the former cop.

Depraved images, including racist and homophobic content, were also discovered on his personal phone.
