‘I began to shake.’ 12 years after the show, Zoe Lucker discusses the long-term effects of Strictly nervousness.

ZOE LUCKER has spoken out about the long-term effects of her Strictly anxiety, revealing that she recently began “shaking” when a song reminded her of her time on the BBC show in 2009.

Zoe Lucker, 47, of EastEnders and Footballers’ Wives fame, has confessed that she remembers her 2009 Strictly Come Dancing experience with professional dancer James Jordan, 43, with “horror.” In week seven, the actress was ousted from the competition after losing a dance-off against Ali Bastian and her partner Brian Fortuna.

In an exclusive interview with This website, Zoe said that she was fighting with her anxiety behind-the-scenes despite receiving great ratings from the judges during her time on the BBC show.

The actress added that she recently began “shaking” after hearing the song to which she and James performed the Paso Doble on the show, which she first appeared on in series seven of the BBC show 12 years ago.

“With horror, it was terrifying!” Zoe said when asked how she remembers her time on the show.

“I’m such a nervous person, and I can’t believe I actually did it,” she says.

Zoe went on to say that while “it’s a beautiful show” and that she enjoyed practicing with James, performing on Saturday nights was tremendously stressful for her.

“Don’t get me wrong, everyone was amazing,” the former soap star remarked.

“I enjoyed the training with James Jordan; it’s a beautiful show that I enjoy watching at home with a glass of wine on Saturday nights, but it was terrible as an experience and as a non-dancer.

“When I look back, I say to myself, ‘How did I achieve that?’ These days, my nerves wouldn’t be able to tolerate that.

“The training was fantastic; I loved spending time with James and learning the dances, but just stepping down those stairs and feeling the atmosphere in the room caused me to have severe palpitations that felt like they were about to jump out of my dress.

“It was terrifying. My stomach is churning!”

After performing to Florence and the Machine’s You’ve Got The Love on Strictly Come Dancing, Zoe admitted that simply hearing the music made her nervous.

“I was sitting in the car the other day and You’ve Got The Love by.”Brinkwire Summary News,” she revealed.
