How will William and Kate’s new Windsor Castle residence appear on the inside?

WILLIAM AND KATE may be relocating to Windsor Castle, but what will their new digs look like on the inside?

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expected to announce their plans to move to Windsor either “next week” or around Christmastime, according to royal analyst Angela Levin. Prince William and Kate Middleton are rumored to be preparing a move away from Kensington Palace, and according to a recent story, the Queen may bestow upon them the gift of residing at Windsor Castle, which Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly coveted. But how will living in a Windsor Castle apartment compare to the 20-room flat they currently have in Kensington Palace in London?

William and Kate are now based at Kensington Palace, but they are rumored to be interested in relocating to Berkshire with their three children, Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, six, and Prince Louis, three.

Daniela Elder, a royal analyst for News.co.au, wrote on the two royal brothers’ and their wives’ “requests to reside at Windsor Castle with the Queen” in a piece.

Her Majesty “‘firmly’ rejected down the couple’s [Harry and Meghan] petition to take up residence” in Windsor “many years ago,” according to reports.

“Now it appears that she is ‘discussing’ the same thing with William and Kate, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge,” Daniela added.

“With over 230 residences in the Crown Estate, Her Majesty has a lot of options when it comes to giving family members a grace and favour home. (Translation: Feel free to stay here.)”

A royal source recently told Vanity Fair’s Katie Nicholl, “William and Kate have been talking to their close friends about leaving Kensington Palace, where they feel quite ignored.”

They are believed to have an apartment within the 1000-room Castle and are “seriously considering the relocation” after “discussions with the Queen.”

Not only are “options” available at Windsor Castle, but they are also “close to the Queen” and thus “make sense to the family.”

Furthermore, Kate’s family lives nearby; if she moved to Windsor Castle, she would be less than an hour away from her parents Carole and William Middleton, as well as her sister Pippa Matthews and her family.

The youngsters and their education are one aspect influencing Cambridge’s decision.
