The actor best known for his recent roles as Superman and Geralt of Rivia, Henry Cavill, started off on a high last year. The British actor saw his star rising like never before with The Witcher, which became the biggest Netflix original of all time, and it seems like the sky remains the limit for him.
With The Witcher only working its way to the top of the public consciousness at the beginning of 2020, the estimated net worth of Cavill was set at about $25 million. Although 2020 was something of a dry spell for most actors, in early 2021, the net worth of Cavill still seems to be on the rise.
The role of Henry Cavill in “The Witcher” increased his star strength.
‘The Witcher’: When will ‘The Wolf’s Nightmare’ come to Netflix?
When it came to new launches in 2020, Cavill, 37, had a small presence. It seems Cavill’s lighter release schedule was due to “Witcher” obligations rather than the COVID-19 pandemic, unlike most actors last year.
In Netflix’s Enola Holmes, playing the legendary detective Sherlock Holmes, he had a notable part. In the film, the classic detective, played by Millie Bobby Brown, took a back seat to his titular younger sister’s codebreaking activities.
Development also started last year on The Witcher season 2 before it was stopped due to COVID-19. It resumed later in the year, but was shut down again in true rollercoaster fashion after Cavill sustained a broken leg on set.
For additional seasons of The Witcher, the actor’s rising star could have helped him to secure a higher salary.
This would explain why, last year, his net worth dramatically increased.
Cavill is reportedly worth an estimated $40 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
The future of Cavill as Superman is not known.

The irony that Cavill seemed to gain more attention and appreciation for “The Witcher” than for the role of Superman, one of the most famous characters of all time, has not escaped many.
This will definitely not improve any time soon, as the character’s future remains unclear in the film.
In the forthcoming director’s cut of Justice League on HBO Max, Cavill’s Superman appears and was one of the main cast members returning for the reshoots.
Beyond that, Warner Bros., either in his own movies or in some cameos, officially has no imminent plans for Superman.
Nonetheless, Cavill himself has said that in the future he is open to playing Superman again. It is unclear at this point, however, whether or not his filming schedule for The Witcher would interfere with a potential return to Man of Steel.
Cavill signed a deal in September 2020 to play Clark Kent three more times, according to the Express, but this is unconfirmed and should be taken with a grain of salt.
Cavill’s only other reported role in the future, according to IMDB, is in Squadron 42, a single-player video game set in the universe of the forthcoming Star Citizen multiplayer space battle and trading simulation game. He’s going to play a character called Ryan Enright.
The game features an all-star cast including Gary Oldman, Mark Hamill, Mark Strong, Gillian Anderson, Andy Serkis, Ben Mendelsohn, John Rhys-Davies, and more that would make most blockbuster movies blush.
