Heather Small reveals the secret key to keeping celebrities’ identities hidden in The Masked Singer.

Heather Small, who played Chandelier on THE MASKED SINGER, has opened up about her time on the show and the unusual way in which the contestants’ identities are kept hidden.

Heather Small, a music icon, was revealed as Chandelier in the first episode of the third season of The Masked Singer.

Judges Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, and Rita Ora were stumped by the M People star’s disguised voice, but they were unable to save the star’s place in the competition.

However, in an interview with This website and other media outlets, the singer reveals the lengths to which ITV goes to keep the celebrities’ identities hidden.

“This is the most surreal part of it because no one knows who you are, only a very select few know who you are,” Heather said of backstage.

“You’re wearing a balaclava, so you can’t see your skin tone, and you’re wearing gloves, and I’m enjoying it.”

“I enjoyed it because it helped me stay in character and bring out a character so I could then reinvent myself.”

“Everyone is so nice that you don’t feel foolish at all, so you just get into the spirit of it all and know you’ll be dressed up and your identity will be hidden.”

“It’s masked from the time you head towards the studio; you have to put that all on before you even get out of the car,” she continued.

“You have two identities, so you get into the subterfuge of it, and you feel a little bit like a spy.”

“Well, you’ve got the name, Chandelier, and you’ve got another name,” she added, explaining why the celebrities are given two names.

“It’s like a code word within a code word within a code word within a code word within a code word within a code word within a code word within a code word within a code word within a code word within an identity within

“It’s a lot of fun, and there hasn’t been much fun in the last two years,” she said.

“And for me, having fun is getting out there and meeting people and singing, which hasn’t happened much.”

“It was like, as I said, adopting a new identity and interacting with people.”

Heather sang Patsy Cline’s Crazy as Chandelier over the weekend.

“I’d seen Gabrielle and Joss,” she said when asked why she wanted to be a part of the show.
