‘He has a few irons in the fire.’ Following the Ofcom verdict, Piers Morgan is expected to make a significant comeback.
PIERRE MORGAN’S wife, Celia Walden, hinted on Good Morning Britain that the controversial host could be preparing for a dramatic television comeback.
On Thursday’s broadcast of ITV’s Good Morning Britain, hosts Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard got the opportunity to chat with Piers Morgan’s wife, Celia Walden. The hosts couldn’t help but wonder if Piers will return now that Ofcom had cleared him of his Meghan Markle diatribe on the broadcast.
“That is a wonderful question,” Celia said when asked if her husband has a new role in the works.
“He’s got a few of irons in the fire.”
“He won’t be kicking around the home for much longer,” she continued.
Piers, who co-hosted Good Morning Britain with Susanna for six years, departed the news show in March after an on-air spat over comments he made about Meghan Markle, which resulted in him storming off.
As she apologizes to Lorraine, Michelle Heaton breaks down.
Following his shocking leave, ITV executives revealed that they were looking into Piers’ remarks against her after receiving 41,000 complaints.
Susanna told Celia about Piers’ now-famous escape, saying, “When my work husband stormed off the set, you were blissfully ignorant.”
“To add to the challenge,” Celia said, “I suppose I was in the gym and when I returned home, everything exploded.”
She stated that “it’s been a very strange few months” because there were so many people outside her house.
More to come…
