‘Hard to Watch,’ says Jerry Lawler of current WWE product.

Current WWE product is ‘Hard to Watch,’ according to Jerry Lawler.

Jerry “The King” Lawler was a recent guest on Busted Open Radio, and he had some harsh words for the current WWE product.

The WWE Hall of Famer has been working part-time for WWE for a few years, mostly as a panelist on pay-per-view kickoff shows.

“Sometimes it’s kind of hard for me to watch,” he said (via Wrestling Inc.).

I just got my Survivor Series schedule, and it’s almost like studying for an exam back in school.

I really need to go back and watch some episodes, take notes, and figure out what’s going on.”

“I don’t know how the guys in the business — it’s so tough to be doing that on a daily basis,” Lawler said of being a commentator nowadays.

It’s almost excruciating to know and remember everything for Raw and SmackDown now that I’m doing commentary.

Talent is constantly changing, and time is of the essence.

“It’s not the fault of wrestling; people enjoy discussing how the sport has evolved.”

Wrestling has remained the same.

It’s not just the fans who have changed; it’s the entire society.

He continued, “We now have a short attention span.”

“You have to realize there’s so much more that fans can watch in the wrestling business,” he says.

So, unless you keep this show exciting every minute that people are watching, they will switch over to TikTok.

In that respect, it’s changed, and it’s sometimes difficult for me to keep up.”

Let us know if you agree with Lawler in the comments! WWE wrapped up its 2021 pay-per-view schedule this past weekend with Survivor Series, and the results are below:
