Graziano Di Prima and John Whaite are set to return to the Strictly dance floor.

The new 2021 season of STRICTLY COME DANCING will include the show’s first-ever all-male partnership, with John Whaite joining the cast and Graziano Di Prima rumored to be his partner.

Strictly Come Dancing has announced that former Bake Off champion John Whaite will be one of the candidates in the show’s first all-male coupling. The 33-year-old chef is the show’s fourth confirmed contender for the 2018 series on BBC One. John wants to raise awareness about the LGBTQ+ community and the need of inclusivity.

After boxer Nicola Adams and professional dancer Katya Jones made their first female same-sex dance combination last year, the show is featuring same-sex pairings for the second time.

Katya was found positive for Covid-19 five weeks into the 2020 competition, forcing the Olympic gold medalist and her partner to withdraw.

“I’m really grateful, happy, and nervous to be joining the Strictly 2021 family,” John said of his appearance on the Zoe Ball Breakfast show. I’ve been wearing sequins and jazzy outfits since I was three years old, and I can’t wait to throw myself around the world’s most glamorous dance floor at full speed.

“What excites me even more is that I’ll be a part of the first all-male collaboration, which is a huge step forward in terms of representation and inclusivity.

“I hope whoever I’m paired with is up for a challenge because I want our routines to feature a lot of great lifts!”

John has stated that he wants youngsters to know that they “don’t have to grow up in shame, they don’t have to grow up wondering about who they are” after watching the show.

Whaite, who won the third series of Bake Off when she was 23 years old, now does a weekly cookery section on Channel 4’s Steph’s Packed Lunch.

He is also the author of five cookbooks and the founder of John Whaite’s Kitchen, a cooking school in Lancashire that he founded in 2016.

When he was originally asked about joining the show, he said he was “very, very apprehensive,” but added it was an enormous honor.

“I chewed their hand off when they asked if I’d be interested because I thought, you know, to do that and represent the LGBTQ+ community.”Brinkwire Summary News”.
