Gibbs to shoot mystery boat attacker after new explosive trailer clue? NCIS season 19: Gibbs to shoot mystery boat assailant after new explosive trailer clue?
NCIS season 19 will air on CBS in a few weeks, and Gibbs will be back after the spectacular 18th season finale. And, based on a new teaser, it appears that he’ll be out for vengeance.
Since the action-packed season 18 finale, when the show’s stalwart was flung from his boat after it was rigged with explosives, there have been questions about Gibbs’ (Mark Harmon) future on NCIS. As he lay lifeless in the lake where his boat had burst, Gibbs’ future appeared uncertain, but he gradually began to swim away, teeing up an epic cliffhanger for season 19. While there are many rumors about Gibbs’ future plans, a new CBS trailer shows he’ll be well prepared to deal with whoever rigged his boat.
Following the vicious attack on a suspect, Gibbs was suspended from the squad, along with NCIS colleagues Torres (Wilmer Valderrama), McGee (Sean Murray), and Bishop (Emily Wickersham).
As the two swapped intel on a serial killer with the NCIS guy unable to join his squad, Gibbs developed a fairly tumultuous relationship with journalist Marcie Warren (Pam Dawber).
After being warned off by Marcie, Gibbs took one of his boats onto a lake to track down a serial killer in the last minutes of season 18.
Gibbs was nearly murdered in the explosion that followed, and new scenes in the latest NCIS and NCIS: Hawaii joint promo imply that he’ll shoot whoever is trying to track him down.
Fans get their first peek at Gibbs and NCIS: Hawaii’s Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) in action in the upcoming dramas in the latest CBS ad.
They aren’t the only ones, as McGee and Torres, as well as new NCIS season regulars Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) and Alden Park, are also seen in action (Gary Cole).
Focusing on Gibbs and NCIS, the first new image fans get of him is him appearing bloodied, probably following the explosion.
“Can you tell me where you want me to go?” Before the commercial quickly moves on, Gibbs whispers something to an unknown accomplice.
“I’ve got something here you might want to see,” McGee says to the crew during what looks to be a crime scene investigation.
The “Brinkwire Summary News” appeared a few moments later.
