The ‘ideal’ houseplants for keeping spaces ‘fresh and toxin-free’ so you can ‘get a better night’s sleep.

HOUSEPLANTS can enhance a space simply by adding a decorative element.

They may, however, help you sleep better, according to experts.

Adding a new houseplant or vase of fresh flowers to your living room or bedroom, especially during the winter months, can do wonders to add a splash of color.

Plants are wonderful because they allow you to bring the outside in.

There are a variety of lovely green houseplants that are easy to care for and will thrive in any home setting.

Fatma Azakli, Resident Services Manager at Grainger plc’s Wildlass Apartments, has some tips on how to use houseplants to transform any space.

“Plants are an excellent way to bring green into your indoor living space while also brightening any room,” she said.

“Not only that, but they’ll absorb oxygen during the day and release it at night, allowing you to get a better night’s sleep and keeping your space fresh and toxin-free.”

“Perfect for city living and that happy feeling.”

Fatima shares the “ideal” houseplants for keeping the house “fresh and toxin-free” while requiring little maintenance.

Golden pothos, ceylon creeper, and hunter’s robe are all names for the same plant.

Because it is one of the most popular houseplants in the world, it has a plethora of names.

According to the expert, the houseplant is a “beautiful gift that never fails.”

“Devil’s ivy looks stunning in any room and is ideal for hanging,” Fatima explained.

Fatima advises on the best locations for the plant.

“It isn’t fussy about lighting either,” she added, “but it will grow faster if placed near a window.”

“Place it on a mantelpiece, hang it from a window or balcony door, or train it to climb kitchen shelves for an instant burst of color, gorgeous decoration, and jungle vibes – this plant does all the heavy lifting.”

Dracaena Trifasciata, also known as the snake plant, is a popular and hardy houseplant.

Snake plants are another low-maintenance houseplant.

“These gorgeous plants not only look great, but they’re also easy to look after and require almost no care,” Fatima explained.

This plant is best kept in the bedroom because it helps you “get a better night’s sleep.”
