George from Coronation Street to start a new relationship with an unusual local after dumping Eileen?

If George Shuttleworth stops his on-again, off-again relationship with Eileen Grimshaw, a new romance could bloom on the cobbles of CORONATION STREET.

On Coronation Street, fans have been patiently watching an on-again, off-again relationship as George Shuttleworth (played by Tony Maudsley) has tried for a long time to persuade Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) to be more than pals. On tonight’s episodes of the long-running soap, the two rekindled their romance while Eileen assisted George with some errands, but things quickly deteriorated and they had a violent fight. Could George be tempted to start a new relationship with another Coronation Street resident if this is the final straw?

In recent episodes of the serial, the pair had a fight in the Rovers Return, which resulted in George suffering a serious injury.

George stubbled over a barstool and fractured his wrist during their quarrel.

Eileen was left feeling bad about George’s injury on tonight’s double-bill of Coronation Street, and she promised to help him with his work.

Later, the two stopped for lunch at Eileen’s house, but when they entered Number 11, they discovered George’s van was vanished.

When he realizes that Eileen’s son Todd Grimshaw (Bruno Langley) took the automobile without authorization, he lashes out at her.

“I have nothing to apologize for!” exclaims the speaker. Eileen was ecstatic. “You know, you respect your consumers, but you have no respect for me.”

“I’m sorry I ever got mixed up with you in the first place,” George retorted.

“Mixed up?” says the narrator. Eileen expressed her displeasure with George’s remark.

He clarified, “Involved, entangled, whatever you want to call it.”

“Well, let’s get this straight, we were never connected or embroiled, and we never will be,” Eileen raged.

George replied, “Well, that’s one good thing to come out of today.”

“I’m tired of being taken for granted,” Eileen expressed her dissatisfaction.

“Do you know, before you and your son came around, I operated a perfectly sound business,” George blasted her once again.

“It’s simply been a string of bad luck. I can’t believe I asked you out.”

Eileen screamed, “To think I almost said yes!” “I’m the one who came close to dying!”

She stormed out immediately, leaving George alone with a frustrated groan.

Is this dispute going to be the last straw for George? If that’s the case, he might finally give up on winning Eileen’s heart.
