The couple met in 2002 at the Edbaston Cricket Ground, where Freddie was playing cricket and Rachael was attending a business function.
Freddie, however, had to jet out for long amounts of time during the early stages of their relationship due to the star’s rigorous work schedule as an international player.
He did concede, though, that he and Rachael have become accustomed to spending time apart.
“When we met, I was traveling a lot since I played cricket,” Freddie explained.
“I’d go away for three or four months and she’d come out for a few weeks,” he explained.
After retiring, the former England star revealed that if he stays at home for too long, his wife grows irritated.
Freddie said, “Even since retiring from cricket, the jobs I’ve done have taken me away from home.”
“That’s how we’ve always lived.
“If I stay at home for an extended period of time, she will look at me and ask, ‘When are you going off again?’” he told The Sun.
The Pavilion Road Hotel in Knightsbridge, London, hosted Freddie and Rachael’s wedding in 2005.
Rachael was previously contracted to Storm model agency and, at the age of 19, established her own events company.
The pair has four children together since meeting in 2002.
Holly was born to the couple in 2004.
They welcomed their first child, Corey, in 2006, and their second child, Rocky, two years later.
The couple welcomed a new addition to their family in April, but kept the news of the birth under wraps.
“Little Preston was born at Christmas – it is the first.”Brinkwire Summary News,” Freddie remarked on talkSPORT.
