WHEN it comes to decorating a bathroom the trend seems to be calm, Zen vibes – we’re thinking greys and maybe some pampas grass thrown in.

But one woman has gone all-out psychedelic with her loo – which has even been likened a nightclub toilet – but the best thing is, it only cost her £50.

Posting in the DIY On A Budget Official Facebook Group the savvy woman said that she knows her new bathroom will not be to everyone’s taste.

“I know it’s not to everyone’s taste and I’ll probably get a lot of migraine comments but diy’d my whole downstairs toilet for less than £50 – including the floor,” she said.

Adding: “The yellow pictures are before” which showed a more generic pink and yellow bathroom design with flowers painted on the walls.

The new bathroom denotes quirky black and white stripped tiles, with graffiti-covered walls, with words such as “yas qween” spray-painted on the door.

She also has many colourful pictures of furbies, and little signs with motivational quotes on them, beside colourful mugs.

The post has received a whopping 7.7k likes and 2.4k comments, with many complimenting the mum on her creative design, but some compared it to a nightclub.

“I love this! It reminds me of the decor in loos in clubs on nights out. I wanna come to your house, party, get drunk and go to the loo repeatedly to stare at the coolness! Your style is great, very fierce,” said one person.

“Brilliant I love it, very brave. Loving the toilet roll holder ace! For me it has the feel of a tattoo parlour,” commented another.

“This looks like a bathroom at a punk venue, I really love it,” a third person commented.

Other’s said that the bathroom would be too bold for their taste but still commended the mum on her bravery to be so unique.

“I’m interested to see what the rest of the spaces look like. It looks so colourful outside of the door as well. Not my taste but it looks amazing and it’s something that would very much fit specific personalities. Great job!” said one person.

Another said: “Not my cup of tea but omg how brave and clever were you to think this up and deliver. If I come to yours I’d take my cuppa to the loo, I could spend an hour just looking at it. Well done you.”
