Following the cancellation of Season 2, the Christmas movie trailer for ‘Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist’ has been released.

The first complete trailer for Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas, the feature-length TV movie that will conclude Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, has been released, and it appears that the series’ crazy charm will be preserved. In the trailer, Zoey (Jane Levy) takes on the challenge of throwing the finest Christmas possible for her family’s first holiday since Mitch’s death (Peter Gallagher). This leads to songs and shenanigans, and it will tie up any loose ends after the show’s two-season demise.

Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas premieres on the Roku Channel on Wednesday, December 1st, after a successful run on NBC. It was earlier reported that Lionsgate Television, the major studio behind the unique series, was negotiating a deal with Roku to make a farewell feature-length film following the series’ cancellation at NBC and after attempts to shift the show to NBCUniversal’s Peacock were failed. The film is the first full-length Roku Original to be announced on The Roku Channel.

Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas will take off where Season 2, the series finale, left off, based on the Emmy-winning show, which premiered in January 2020 and centered on Zoey Clarke, a San Francisco-based software engineer who can understand people’s feelings through “heartsongs” only she can hear. The film will continue “Zoey’s journey as she navigates career, family, love, and everything in between,” according to the official synopsis. The film will reunite the original cast, which includes Levy, Gallagher, Skylar Astin, Alex Newell, John Clarence Stewart, Andrew Leeds, Alice Lee, Michael Thomas Grant, Kapil Talwalkar, David St. Louis, Mary Steenburgen, and Bernadette Peters, and will “bring the same love and passion to the full-length feature film that loyal fans have come to know from the television show,” according to the press release. “I’m very grateful to The Roku Channel for assisting us in getting Zoey to sing again. I can’t think of a better time than the holidays to hear someone’s heart song. And Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas will be an occasion for fans and newcomers alike to tap their toes and get into the holiday spirit “Austin Winsberg, the show’s creator, stated. “Empathy, compassion, and the triumph of the human spirit have always been major themes on our show. My spirits have been elevated thanks to the Roku Channel, and I’m hoping that our video will have the same effect on audiences throughout the world…” Winsburg will write and executive produce the picture, which will be directed by Richard… Brinkwire Summary Entertainment News
