Piers Morgan issues a warning after receiving additional threats following the arrest of a social media troll.
“I’m coming for you!” PIERS MORGAN warned any trolls planning to target him.
Piers Morgan has made it clear that he will fight back after police intervened to arrest a social media troll who was allegedly making death threats against him.
The controversial TV star told his nearly eight million followers that the harassment he’d been subjected to had gone too far, and that he wouldn’t put up with it again.
I’ll track you down!
Piers took to Twitter to thank supporters for their kind words after reports surfaced that a social media user had made “chilling” death threats against him and his son.
“Thank you to everyone who’s sent nice messages about this,” wrote the 56-year-old.
“It’s much appreciated, and it serves as a reminder that the majority of people aren’t vile trolls.”
“For those who have unavoidably sent more threats and abuse, just remember that if you cross a line or involve my family, I will come after you.”
Piers has been making headlines for years with his divisive views.
He recently left ITV to avoid having to apologize for accusing Meghan Markle of lying about her life as a member of the royal family.
He also angered a mental health charity, which chastised him for appearing to dismiss Meghan’s claims that she had had suicidal thoughts in an interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Piers was cleared of any wrongdoing after Ofcom decided his comments constituted reasonable “freedom of expression,” despite receiving nearly 60,000 complaints – the highest total in the regulator’s history.
He has since stated that, while he takes suicide and mental health issues seriously, some people exaggerate their problems and should “toughen up.”
He also recently chastised actor Alec Baldwin for what he saw as his insensitivity toward the late Rust crew member Halyna Hutchings, who was accidentally shot on set with a prop gun by the star.
Piers claimed that Alec “continues to act like he’s the victim” after seeing a Christmas video message Alec made for Instagram.
He has also chastised woke culture, as evidenced by his best-selling book Wake Up!, which contains fervent political diaries written during the pandemic.
Despite the fact that he is no longer on Good Morning Britain or Life Stories, the 56-year-old’s career shows no signs of slowing down, and his daily tweets continue to draw a lot of attention.
Piers is the celebrity’s polarizing figure.
