Fern Britton teases a return to ITV 12 years after her appearance on This Morning, saying she “went for a joyful encounter.”
FERN BRITTON has hinted that she will be returning to ITV in a big way, 12 years after leaving This Morning, which she hosted for a decade.
Fern Britton, 64, a former This Morning presenter, has teased a comeback to ITV on Twitter, 12 years after leaving the famous breakfast show. The TV personality stated she was at the broadcasting firm for a “really joyful meeting,” although she misses their former premises across the Thames, where she used to work when she hosted the show.
I went to a very pleasant meeting…
The author implied that she had interesting things planned, given her 89,900 followers.
“The present home of @ITV,” she wrote.
“It’s so swish!” exclaims the narrator. She was gushing.
“Went to a very pleasant meeting… “However, I do miss the old ITV Tower on the South Bank,” Fern concluded.
Fern’s caption was followed with a wacky floor-to-ceiling view of the broadcaster’s current residence.
Fern has been a constant presence on television since leaving the show more than a decade ago.
The ex-wife of This Morning chef Phil Vickery competed in the tenth series of Strictly Come Dancing alongside Artem Chigvintsev.
She also won her own 20-episode Channel 4 show, as well as a presenting gig on The Wright Stuff and a spot on ITV’s Loose Women panel.
This year, the actress has been busy filming two miniseries for Channel 5: My Cornwall with Fern Britton and Fishing Scotland’s Lochs and Rivers.
From 1999 to 2009, the TV personality was a full-time presenter on This Morning, co-hosting with Phillip Schofield.
Following her post, fans went to the comments section to express their excitement for Fern’s upcoming endeavor, which she is keeping under wraps for the time being.
“Fern, we need you back on the show,” one wrote.
They said, “You were a joy to watch, especially when you got the giggles.”
“I’m curious to know what you’re up to,” wrote another. I know you won’t be able to tell.”
“You taunt.. New programme?” remarked a third.
“Ooh, sounds fascinating, hope we find out soon…” said another social media user.
Fern said earlier this year that she had had “a rough two or three years” and that she and TV chef Phil, 60, had divorced in January 2020 after 20 years of marriage.
“I’ve had a horrible two or three years,” she explained.
“Both.” According to the Brinkwire Summary News.
