Expert says Sophie Wessex and Edward’s body language transformed during the Duke of Edinburgh title debate.
SOPHIE, COUNTESS OF WESSEX, and Prince Edward are keeping Prince Philip’s Duke of Edinburgh tradition alive, according to an expert, but their body language has evolved amid rumors that they may lose Prince Philip’s old title.
Sophie, Countess of Wessex, 56, and Prince Edward, 57, are hardworking royals who have shone as their roles in the Firm have grown more prominent since Megxit. While it has long been assumed that Edward will inherit Prince Philip’s title of Duke of Edinburgh, royal insiders have recently stated that this may not be the case.
Two insiders informed the Sunday Times earlier this month that Prince Charles, 72, who presently holds the title of Duke of Edinburgh, has no intention of passing it on to Edward when he becomes king.
“As it is, the prince is the Duke of Edinburgh, and it is up to him what happens to the title,” a source said. It’s not going to Edward.”
“Edinburgh will not go to them [the Wessexes]as far as the prince is concerned,” another stated.
The accusations are said to have surprised Edward and Sophie, who were requested to take up the title in person by Prince Philip just before their wedding in 1999.
Following Philip’s departure from public life in 2017, Edward was tasked with carrying on Philip’s exceptional Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme legacy.
Sophie and Edward also completed a DofE-related engagement on Sunday.
The couple met McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo, as well as their crew, at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
McLaren has teamed up with the DofE to encourage members of the public to participate in the charity’s new fundraising challenge, Do It 4 Youth.
Judi James, a body language specialist and author, analyzed the new Sophie and Edward photos and shared her findings with this website.
The couple’s demeanor appeared to have changed, according to the expert, amid rumors that they would lose their Duke of Edinburgh peerage.
“After rumors of rifts between Charles and Edward over the Duke of Edinburgh title, there does appear to be a tiny shift in the body language dynamics of Sophie and Edward here as they pay a visit to honor the late Duke’s memory,” Judi stated.
“Edward has embraced his post as head of.”Brinkwire Summary News,” the analyst continued.
