Even mice have a place in paradise. A terrifying stop-motion animation.

Our five-year-old twins were fidgeting within half an hour of watching this stop-motion movie, despite the attractiveness of the opening sequences.

After an accident in the forest, Whizzy the mouse and Whitebelly the fox end up in heaven. With all those charming voices and strong moralising, however, it felt like hell for me.

The second part of the video is also a little dark and terrifying for very young children, as the two must pass a series of tests before learning to get along.

These days, children’s films frequently deal with death. While adults will be impressed by the quality of this European production, children will miss Coco or Soul’s amazing animation and intriguing plot.
