Eamonn Holmes: I’m Eamonn Holmes, and I’m As he discusses what he’s most proud of, this Morning star breaks down in tears.

In an honest conversation with Joe Duffy about his life, EAMONN HOLMES broke down in tears.

Eamonn Holmes, 61, has sobbed as he revealed his “personally” proudest achievement. The television celebrity opened up to host Joe Duffy on The Meaning Of Life on a variety of topics, including his roots and family.

When Joe asked Eamonn what he is most proud of “personally,” he became emotional near the end of his interview.

“Having the kids that I have, having the brothers that I have, and having had the parents that I had,” the presenter remarked, breaking down in tears.

Joe then inquired about Eamonn’s development as a person with his mother, Josie.

“I recall a musician named Malachi Cush – great lovely fella,” Eamon said.

“‘Miss Holmes, what’s it like having a big star as a son?’ he asked.

“And this is real,’ she said,’star?’ ‘He’s just my little child,’ I say. Eamonn also discussed his family’s Catholic heritage and his first marriage to ex Gabrielle Holmes during the personal session.

When asked about his Catholic upbringing, Eamonn stated that when he met his first girlfriend, Gabrielle, he realized how rigid other Northern Irish houses were.

The host noted that his now-ex-home wife’s was on “an whole different level.”

“Well, until I met my first girlfriend, who later became my wife, I believed it was a strict Catholic household,” he explained.

“That was on a whole new level.”

“I’d say my mother and father were really moral people, in the sense that if you kiss that girl, you’re going to marry her.”

“That’s pretty much it.

“And her family, it was like being on your knees, praying the rosary for decades, First Fridays…”

They had a date, which served as a reason to attend mass every week.”

After nine years of marriage, Eamonn and Gabrielle divorced in 1994.

Declan, Rebecca, and Niall are the offspring of the former couple.

Gabrielle was eventually separated from him in 2005.

Eamonn went on to marry Ruth Langsford, a fellow broadcaster with whom he co-hosts This Morning.

Jack Alexander Holmes is the couple’s son.
