Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson sends special gear to his two former high school football teams.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently did something special for two of his former high school football teams. On Thursday, the actor and former WWE Superstar posted a video to YouTube showing him surprising his former high school football teams McKinley High School in Honolulu, Hawaii, and Freedom High School in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, with new Project Rock performance gear and customized training programs from Under Armour’s Human Performance Team. Johnson is seen in the video speaking to a football player at Freedom High School before of their homecoming game.

“For starters, I wanted to express my admiration for you all,” Johnson stated. “Here’s why I’m proud: I’m proud of the effort you put out, because that’s what it all boils down to. Whether you win or lose, prosper or fail, it all boils down to how much effort you put in and how much hard work you put in.” Johnson continued, ” “One of my mottos is “blood, sweat, and respect,” as you may know. You have to give the first two. You must offer your blood and sweat because respect is the third, last, and oftentimes most crucial factor. That’s one you’ll have to earn.” After then, Johnson reflected on his experience at Freedom. “I walked those halls of Freedom High… we worked our asses off in the weight room, off-season [and]during the season, and we always talked about back then, like, ‘How do we want to be remembered?'” Johnson remarked. “… The most essential thing is that I want you to consider how you want to be remembered.” The message from Johnson was received well, and Freedom prevailed 42-7. He said, “You played hard, like the hardest workers in the room.” “You competed for the sake of blood, sweat, and respect. You performed admirably, as victors and patriots.” Johnson tells about his work with Project Rock and Under Armour at the end of the film, and then presents the players with new season clothing. Johnson began his football career at Freedom and McKinley before going on to play at the University of Miami. He went on to become one of WWE’s biggest stars and is now a Hollywood celebrity.
