ROSS KEMP has disclosed that he got into trouble with a gang boss while filming for ‘Ross Kemp on Gangs.’

Actor Ross Kemp is no stranger to conflict, having taken on challenging roles that have seen him face up against gangs, Taliban fighters, and pirates. Series two of his BAFTA-winning Ross Kemp on Gangs, on the other hand, was almost his last.

The actor, who rose to fame after portraying Grant Mitchell on BBC’s EastEnders, has never shied away from a challenge.

The 57-year-old has received recognition for his investigative productions throughout the years, taking on assignments that are not for the faint of heart.

Between 2004 and 2009, Ross Kemp on Gangs followed him as he traveled to cities such as Moscow to see if Neo-Nazi gangs were to blame for the spike in racist attacks and hate crimes.

The father of four even took part in a training exercise with a Neo-Nazi gang, which included being set on fire.

While that may seem frightening in and of itself, Ross was also nearly assassinated while filming in El Salvador.

He traveled to Central America in episode one of series two to meet MS13 [Mara Salvatrucha], the world’s “most violent gang.”

In a country with a population of roughly 6.8 million people, the gang commits over 800 murders per year.

Ross was on his way to becoming one of their victims when he made a “huge mistake” by mistakenly proposing to the gang’s boss.

“Chucho’s sister gave me this soft toy, so I went out and bought her one,” he continued, “but what I was really doing was getting engaged to Chucho’s sister.”
