Due to an ITV schedule change, Coronation Street has been canceled.

Fans of CORONATION STREET will be disappointed to learn that the ITV staple will not be broadcast as usual on Friday evening due to a one-off restructure.

The FA Cup match between Manchester City and Swindon will take place on Friday, so Coronation Street will be canceled.

The match will be broadcast on ITV during the soap’s regular time slot, which means viewers will miss out on their favorite show.

Fans have taken to social media to express their displeasure with the schedule change as plotlines on the soap continue to heat up.

The ITV soap airs single and double episodes of 30 minutes to an hour on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

The game will start at 8 p.m., with coverage beginning at 7.30 p.m. and lasting until 10.20 p.m., so Coronation Street will have to take a back seat while the sport airs.

It comes after the popular show was cancelled last month to make way for The Voice Kids.

On Monday, at 7.30 p.m., the soap is expected to resume its regular schedule.

Regular fans, on the other hand, were dismayed to learn of the schedule change.

“How many times has Corrie been shuffled around?” tweeted Twitter user June.

“Absolutely gutted there’s no (hashtag)Corrie tonight,” Lydia Gerver wrote on Twitter.

Soccer is a sport that I despise.”

Christopher Anstey sarcastically commented, “Totally love it when (hashtag)Corrie is disrupted due to football.”

“I’m going to watch all weeks corrie later as it’s not repeated on itv3 Sunday putting other s**** on plus there’s sod all on tv later only rubbish football,” Rosey explained.

Emmerdale, ITV’s other popular soap, will continue to air at 7 p.m. despite the cancellation.

Fans of Coronation Street will be eager to find out what will happen in Weatherfield, as soap bosses have teased major plot twists following the start of the new year.

Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell) and Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) found out they had accidentally killed an elderly man after he was hit by their car in recent episodes, which kicked off 2022 with a bang.

In addition, Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) is having second thoughts about her new husband Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell), whom she recently cheated on with Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo).

To make matters worse, the popular soap star was discovered.
