Drew and Jonathan Scott’s ‘Property Brothers’ Competition Series is renewed for a second season.

The sibling rivalry between twins Drew and Jonathan Scott is returning to HGTV. The network has officially renewed the brothers’ high-stakes house-flipping competition series Brother vs. Brother.

Brother will return in summer 2022 for a six-episode eighth season.

The news of the renewal comes after the conclusion of Brother vs. Sister.

Season 7 of Brother drew a large audience, with over 21 million people tuning in.

Brother vs. Sister was first broadcast in 2013.

Drew and Jonathan compete in a six-week competition series called Brother, in which they renovate and restore multi-million dollar homes in order to get the most money.

JD Scott, the Scotts’ older brother, serves as the challenge’s referee, and the designs are judged by well-known HGTV personalities.

Breegan Jane (Extreme Makeover: Home Edition), Maureen McCormick (Frozen in Time), Jasmine Roth (Help! I Wrecked My House), Orlando Soria (Build Me Up), and Dan Vickery (Frozen in Time) were among the guest stars who helped Drew win the competition.

The brothers announced the Season 8 renewal on social media, saying they are “so excited to share that Brother vs. Brother has been renewed for Season 8!”

Drew and Scott will be returning to Los Angeles in Season 8.

“The guys are back in the Los Angeles area to turn lukewarm homes into hot-ticket properties, and the Brother whose renovated property flips for the most profit will score coveted bragging rights,” according to the official synopsis. Judges for the season have yet to be announced.

“You can bet that when we combine Drew and Jonathan’s real estate and renovation expertise with their favorite pastime, one-upmanship, we’ll get a monumental, fun face-off that delivers awe-inspiring designs and valuable home improvement takeaways,” Jane Latman, HGTV president, says.

When the brotherly mischief, practical jokes, and trash talk of competition is over, will it be Drew or Jonathan who gloats as a champion or whimpers in defeat — this time?” Brother taps into a lifelong sibling rivalry that audiences can’t get enough of.
